Vahid Jahangiri

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. My research focuses on structural dynamics, structural health monitoring and digital twins, offshore wind energy, vibration control, and condition monitoring of civil and mechanical systems.

Before joining URI, I worked as an R&D Engineer in the renewable energy industry and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Nevada, Reno. My research combines physics-based modeling, sensing, experiments, and data-driven methods to improve the monitoring, reliability, and performance of engineering systems.
